How to increase your attention span?

It's officially March #2023 and I am baffled at the rate at which this year is passing by. Also known as the season of change, I thought we need to discuss a few things on similar lines.

With so many changes coming into the picture, we rarely get to focus on a single one of them for long. No wonder why most of us feel like the attention span of a firefly. So yes, besides knowing that all of us have tonnes of things to get done and that does require you to constantly be on the move, we still know that increasing attention spans and being 100% mindful of any task you are currently doing is equally important. Because let's be honest, the statement “ I completed 20 tasks today” and “I completed 10 tasks and foolproofed” the later one will give you better results.

Hence, dawning upon the final question, how do you increase your attention span? Apart from a few obvious ones like meditation, exercising, staying hydrated, etc. I do have another one that has helped me and my buddies to improvise on this skill. And that my fellow readers are Reading! I really don’t have to emphasise the importance of reading regularly. But I also understand the criticality of everyone’s busy schedule.

It's proven scientifically that humans find it easier to do things they enjoy more frequently than the ones they find of no significant interest. As it is observed that a majority of people enjoy reading Thrillers and Mysteries more than other Genres. That is why I have a handful of Book recommendations that might pique your interest. These books are all fast-paced to keep you going.

  1. The Villa by Rachel Hawkins: Buy Here(Amazon)

2. When No One is Watching by Alyssa Cole: Buy Here (Amazon)

3. Finlay Donovan is Killing It by Elle Cosimano: Buy Here (Amazon)

4. How to Kill Men and Get Away With It by Katy Brent: Buy Here (Amazon)

5. Rock Paper Scissors by Alice Feeney: Buy Here (Amazon)

Would recommend you all to go through the trigger warnings before picking any of these up as psychological thrillers tend to have a lot of those.

Happy Reading
